Today a few of us did a presentation on the page tags we made the week before. Some of the design were very unique and well though out. My designs are simple and clear as i think its easy to read and to the point.
For the group activity, we had to randomly select two different words and write down what they mean to us and what you think of when you put them together. We selected the words kite and bread.
When i think of kite these things come to mind:
- fun
- colourful
- different shapes
- games
- flexible
- flows with the wind
- sky high
- peaceful
- recreational
- birds
- clouds
When i think of bread these things come to mind:
- yummy
- hard crust
- birds
- soft center
- meals
- dinner parties
- multi grain
- raisin
- white
- wholemeal
- France
the concepts i came up with are
- a kite that is edible (for feeding birds)
- a kite that looks like bread

ReplyDeleteWe're looking for 3 designs concepts for your portfolio with 2 options on each...
Your work so far has been superlative, so I'm presuming you had a busy week - didn't we all?
I am going to offer a suggestion that you spell and grammar check your entries. It will help your employability - particularly if you want to work on content for print or web.
Your second sentence above reads "Some of the design were very unique and well though out."
There are 3 errors in one sentence here.
1. "design" should be plural "designs"
2. look up the meaning of "unique" on dictionary.com - it is not possible to have degrees of "unique" e.g. "very unique", "totally unique", "extremely unique". The word stands alone and needs no qualifying - it simply means "one of a kind"
3. "though" should be "thought"
good start this week - but more soon?
